Anthem Dialogue

As Chair of the PSV Managed Care Liaison Committee, I have had a recent exchange of letters with Anthem’s Medical Director for behavioral health care. This dialogue was based on a patient of mine, which allowed me to address the broader issue of Anthem’s non-compliance with the mental health parity law. Anthem is currently facing a law suit in Connecticut over this same issue, with the APA as a party to the case. I have been appointed by the APA Board of Directors to a newly established Work Group on Health Reform and Parity.

My correspondence with Anthem is here
