Membership Drop Date Update
The APA extended the drop date from April 1 to June 1. This means members had until May 31 to pay their dues and continued to receive benefits until that date. They will handle individual member requests on a case-by-case basis, along with input from the DB, if they need additional time.
2020 Dues Recap
The APA began billing PSV members for 2020 in October 2019. A total of $64,954 has been collected as of year-end. As many as five follow-up reminder notices will be sent to those members with outstanding dues balances. Members who did not pay 2020 dues by June 1, 2020 were dropped from the APA/DB/SA Membership rolls, unless enrolled in the Scheduled Payment Plan.
Lead Generation Campaign
A lead generation campaign will be launching in the next couple of weeks to try to increase interest in the APA. This will consist of providing free content (an assessment on well-being, and a second launching later in the summer to access a webinar on Emerging Treatment Strategies for Mood and Anxiety Disorders). After downloading, an email series will be triggered that will continue the engagement by sharing a series of resources offered by APA. Each email will have a link in to learn more about membership. Additional information on this will be provided to you after we have launched. Initially there will not be any information to share with the DBs, as we are not asking for geographic information. Asking only the most pertinent questions is a best practice to remove barriers to completing the form (email address, name and psychiatrist or non-psychiatrist).
