LewisGale Residency Program

By Janie Lozovski, DO

This Spring the LewisGale Psychiatry Residency is continuing its mission to provide care to all members of our community. Two of our residents who are truly embodying this message are Dr. Joe Knoble and Dr. Lauren Wilson.

Dr. Joe Knoble, PGY-2, organized a community health fair at the local Salvation Army. As many studies have shown, there have been great disparities in the healthcare opportunities available to less privileged members of our society--especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. This health fair attempted to address these disparities and provide care for more members of our community.

Dr. Lauren Wilson, PGY-3, has been accepted to Virginia Tech Carilion Clinic for Child and Adolescent Fellowship. By continuing her education, she will be able to provide the highest quality care to the smallest members of our community.

We are also proud to announce that we appointed our first chief residents, Dr. Aaron Boren and Dr. Janie Lozovski. We are excited to see the ideas our new chiefs bring to the table as we continue to grow.
