UVA Update

Here's the update regarding the current UVA 4th year residents' match results and the new incoming interns.
It is that time of the year where we bid adieu to our fourth year residents. We are very proud and excited to announce the match results our fourth year residents achieved. Dr. John Azer will be heading to Austen Riggs Center to complete a psychoanalytic fellowship. Dr. Eliza Buelt will be starting her community psychiatry fellowship and Dr. Jordan Rosen, who served as a member of our faculty this past year at UVA, will be starting his consult liaison fellowship at Yale University. Dr. Josh Smith will be going to complete a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Mass General Hospital. Dr. Marie Lyse Turk will be heading to Boston University for a consult liaison psychiatry fellowship. Dr. Colleen Leitner, who is currently a third year resident will be a child psychiatry fellow next year at UVA. Dr. Michele (Vargas) Wilis will be at University of Colorado for a forensic psychiatry fellowship. Dr. Quincy Zhong will be staying at UVA to complete an addiction medicine fellowship.
We would also like to welcome our new interns for this academic year: Dr. Stephanie Barber, Dr. Evan Cordrey, Dr. Andrew Legan, Dr. Alexandra Meier, Dr. Ihuoma Njoku, Dr. Trishna Thakur, Dr. Erawadi Singh, Dr. Kareen Seoudy, Dr. Christopher Rowley and Dr. Ashley Pettaway. We are certain they will shine at UVA!
Also, Colleen Leitner, one of the current third year residents was just selected for the 2019 American Psychiatric Association (APA)/APA Foundation (APAF) Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program. To view a description of the award, click here.
