LewisGale Medical Center Update

This summer Lewis Gale Psychiatry Residency welcomed our third class of interns. We now have a total of 23 residents, and we are excited to keep growing. With the PSV Fall Meeting being held in nearby Roanoke this year, seven of our residents were able to attend. We had five residents who presented posters, and two of our residents won second place for their research on burnout.
At Lewis Gale, we are excited to continue to educate the next generation of psychiatrists. With the current research about the psychiatric effects of coronavirus, properly trained physicians are needed now more than ever- especially in the more rural parts of Virginia.
