Excessive Alcohol use often complicated by prescription medications have affected the performance, judgment, and decisions of leaders at the highest levels - from the Whitehouse to the Senate to the CIA.
The long-range effects of these decisions were discussed, specifically, the current conflicts with Iran, Cuba and the Middle East. Recent Biographies of President Richard Nixon and Senator Joe McCarthy are discussed. Tragic losses in the CIA due to clearly diagnosed but untreated alcoholism was detailed.
