APA Council & Committee Nominations (Deadline: 9/1)

Serve on an APA Component

Nominations are now open for the 2021-2022 Presidential appointments cycle.

APA's many accomplishments are made possible through the generosity of members' time, energy and expertise. About one-third of the positions on all APA's councils and committees are open for appointment by the President-Elect each year. While members who currently serve on a Component may be eligible for reappointment at the end of their term, any potential reappointment is at the President-elect's discretion. All appointments will begin effective May 25, 2022.

Members with expertise in the content areas of the 13 councils and their corresponding committees are strongly encouraged to submit their names or nominate a colleague to ensure the breadth of diversity within the membership is reflected.

To submit a nomination, please complete the APA Component Nomination Form. Nominations will be accepted from June 1, 2021 through September 1, 2021.

Before you complete the APA Component Nomination Form, please ensure you have the following information about yourself or the colleague you are nominating:

  1. Nominee's full name and credentials;
  2. Nominee's city, state, and country;
  3. Nominee's contact information (email);
  4. Nominee's current or past APA component service;
  5. A brief statement of interest outlining the nominee's expertise and experience in the selected area(s) of interest (max 200 words);
  6. An abbreviated CV (1-page max) tailored to the component(s) the nominee is interested in serving;
  7. A photo of the nominee

The above items listed above are required to complete your submission.
