PGY3 Department of Psychiatry residents and Co-Presidents of Richmond PSV Chapter
This year has been a whirlwind. VCU welcomes Dr. Waller and Dr. Shah as Program Director and Associate Program Director, respectively. We have worked together to transition many of our appointments to telehealth, allowing VCU to reach a much wider treatment area. The emergency department and consult service has been busy providing both telemedicine and in-person care. In the outpatient realm, VCU is developing new specialty clinics.
We would like to welcome our new group of interns who will start their training at VCU in this upcoming academic year: Drs. Iakovos Anastasakis, Gurjas Bajaj, Mithun Dhinakaran, Stephen Ellis, Ali-Noor Jessani, Shahida Mizan, Akanksha Patel, Jasmine Saini, Chaman Sharma, Amy Soto, and Soha Suleman.
While we are excited about our incoming PGY-1s, we will certainly miss those residents who are graduating this year: Drs. Jonathan Anthony, Jon Punzi, Shaquana Clark, Danielle Robinson, Deb Kiehlmeier, Alyssa Warren, Kim Bowman, and Shane Carillo. We are very grateful for their mentorship during residency. We are proud of them and wish them the best in the future. We are thankful that several of our graduating residents will be staying in the Richmond area. It is going to be a great year!
